Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Millette.
Hi Brian, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My wife and I moved to East TN with our kids about six years ago. We came down from Massachusetts with no real plans. My lady Chrissy started her own cleaning business in 2002 ,cleaning mostly residential homes and commercial businesses, I worked in the residential construction field for years , many of them I worked for myself . Five years before we left I went onto commercial building. We took a couple months off when we got here to really get to know our new home. The best thing we ever did was move here to parrottsville. The people in this state are friendly and welcoming. I went back to work framing. Chrissy wanted to clean again so she started marketing to homes in and around Sevier county into Knoxville. That went well and we were both working again. Part of the reason for moving was to be able to spend more time together as a family,which work makes hard to do. We reevaluated the situation and started thinking about cleaning cabins , more marketing to all the local cabin rental companies . She received a call the first day and a company gave her 6 cabins for the next day. She called me at work and asked if I could help so I did. By the end of the day we knew this was gonna work out. So I stopped construction and our cleaning business grew. We were able to spend days together in the mountains in this beautiful new place we call home. As time went on our network grew and we established great relationships with some of the owners which started opening doors to expand our scope of work . Not only were we cleaning but now I was able to start taking on construction jobs at the cabins, roofing, building furniture, flooring, decks all kinds of stuff I love doing. We live our lives in a way that we are always attracting the right people into our experience. We do no advertising nowadays and we just keep moving forward on bigger and better adventures. Our work ethic and love for what we do I believe speaks for itself. We are now managing properties for a couple out of state owners and it brings us much joy knowing that we are providing a service that involves making so many people happy ,from owners , to guests , to our cleaning and construction teams, Our 2 sons both clean and work on the construction projects , our 9 year old daughter likes to be part of things whenever it is possible and our dreams keep coming through.
We have also been blessed with the most reliable and competent cleaners around and really they are such a big part of our success
We recently changed our name from Freshly Maid Cleaning to Alignment Property Services for two reasons , 1: that we are much more than just a cleaning company now and 2: we know we are in Alignment with all things good and nothing is impossible!!!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been mostly smooth. When you go into something with good intention and love it has no choice but to work. It has all been a lesson in balance and patience. When we stopped looking so hard and trying to do too much, it all kind of fell into place and here we are right when we are ready!

We create, we create a space that is clean, fresh and comfortable for our guests and clients. We don’t go into a home and say “ok lets hurry up and get this done!”. We take our time and try to make sure the next people who walk through the door feel at home so they can truly relax. Many people work all year for that one vacation and we can help make that a special time. We are most proud of our teams that feel the same way we do and the different projects we are able to do.
I believe what sets us apart from many is our reliability and our work ethic as a whole. Communication between us and our employees and our home owners is key and we are always there and ready.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Happiness. Making sure everyone is treated fair and left feeling good inside at the end of the day is success
